Reference 16013 is the transitional Datejust that ran from roughly 1977 to 1989, bridging the 1600-series acrylic-crystal era with the sapphire-crystal 16233 that followed. It was among the first Datejust references to ship with sapphire glass and the quickset date function, making it a collector benchmark for vintage-style two-tone wear.
