Reference 69173 belongs to the fourth generation of the Lady-Datejust, produced from the late 1980s through the early 2000s. The 26mm sizing was the standard women's case before Rolex pushed to 28mm with the 179xxx series and later 31mm with the 279xxx, collectors still consider 69173 the proportional sweet spot for smaller wrists.
Case is two-tone: stainless steel construction with yellow-gold-plated bezel, crown, and bracelet center links. Fluted bezel in gold tone catches light at every facet angle, a design Rolex patented originally as a functional grip for screwing down the bezel before it became purely decorative. Champagne dial with applied gold-tone baton indices, date window at 3 under the Cyclops lens.
