Rolex Datejust 16220 - 36mm Silver Dial Steel Watch

Reference 16220 belongs to the five-digit Datejust generation that ran from 1988 to roughly 2006, the transitional era when Rolex moved to sapphire crystals and the caliber 3135 became standard across the line. The smooth-bezel 16200 got most of the press, but the 16220 with its engine-turned (later fluted) bezel held the middle ground between sport and dress.
