The 14000 ran from 1989 to 2000 as the entry point into the Rolex catalog, replacing the long-serving 5500. It kept the 34mm proportions and smooth bezel of its predecessor but added a sapphire crystal and the higher-beat 3000 caliber. Salmon dials were never a factory option on this reference, which makes this configuration a custom-shop favorite among collectors who want a vintage-feel Air-King with an unusual dial tone.
Salmon sits between pink and copper, shifting toward apricot under warm light and pulling rose in shade.
