The Air-King line traces back to 1945, named in tribute to RAF pilots flying Hawker Hurricanes during the Battle of Britain. Reference 14000 ran from 1989 to 2000 as the last 34mm Air-King before the upsize to 14000M and eventually the 40mm 116900. Its 34mm proportions sit squarely in unisex territory now, though originally marketed as the entry-point men's Oyster.
