The Day-Date earned its name in 1956 as the first wristwatch to spell out the full day of the week on the dial, originally available only in precious metals. Reference 128238 keeps that tradition in a 36mm case, the original Day-Date proportion that still suits smaller wrists and dressier cuffs.
