The James Cameron Deepsea commemorates the 2012 Deepsea Challenge expedition, when Cameron's submersible reached the Mariana Trench's Challenger Deep at 10,908 metres. Strapped to the sub's manipulator arm was an experimental Deepsea Challenge watch, and the gradient blue-to-black dial on reference 126660 references that descent: cobalt at 12 fading into pitch black at 6, the same light gradient the sub recorded sinking through the water column.
44mm 904L steel case with the Ringlock Case System, a nitrogen-alloy steel inner ring and 5mm domed sapphire rated to 3,900m on the original. Unidirectional Cerachrom bezel in matte black, 120-click action. Chromalight indices with the deep blue afterglow. DEEPSEA text in green on the dial, a Cameron-era signature.
